Under contract from Built, Weilwun conducted works on the new Royal Prince Alfred carpark. The new carpark provided 996 car parking spaces to service the staff working at the hospital each day and was a project for Health Infrastructure NSW. A significant part of this project was the implementation of strong indigenous participation which sets out our broader commitments to increasing engagement and opportunities for Indigenous Australians.
To mark ‘National Reconciliation Week’, Weilwun representatives, along with staff from Built, attended a morning tea on site to support the reconciliation journey through opportunities for Indigenous employment, relationship building and business growth. Weilwun gave the Welcome to Country at the event, on behalf of the Gadigal people from the Eora Nations, as traditional custodians of the land on which RPA Carpark stands.
